I think it’s about time we pour something warm down our throats, it’s freakin cold exterior. Yes, I understand what you RAW people are sayin’…”you’re heating up the almond milk and so this ain’t RAW gurrrl!”… well, yes, BUT you’re simply warming the milk a wee bit in order to infuse the flavors and every little thing else is raw so … it’s all about balance … right …:)

For the Recipe

4 cups homemade almond milk

2 cinnamon sticks

1 inch slice fresh ginger

1 vanilla bean, chopped and scrape seeds out

1/4 cup unsweetened cacoa powder

2 ounces raw dark chocolate, carefully sliced

4 to 6 TB agave

Pinch sea salt

Pinch of cayenne (optional)

Instructions
1. Bring milk, scraped vanilla bean seeds/pod, cinnamon stick and ginger to virtually a boil, cover and shut off heat for 20 minutes.
2. Remove cinnamon stick, vanilla husk and ginger.
3. Whisk in cacoa, chocolate, agave, salt and cayenne (if making use of) till frothy.
